Joseph Réohm Combines Tic-Tac-Toe, Superheroes and Impossible Magic on Huckabee

 Master illusionist Joseph Réohm transforms two familiar childhood favorites—tic-tac-toe and comic-book superheroes—into an entertaining prediction during his appearance on Huckabee.

Réohm begins by challenging host Mike Huckabee to a game of tic-tac-toe. Each decision appears completely open, and the game eventually ends in a draw. Réohm then introduces a sketchbook containing 15 different superheroes and asks Huckabee to select any numbered page. His choice of the Incredible Hulk leads to a surprising conclusion connecting both parts of the performance.

The routine is inspired by Réohm’s childhood. He explains that he loved drawing on nearly every available surface until his father gave him a sketchbook—and warned him to keep his future artwork inside it. That personal story gives the magic warmth, humor and a reason for every prop used in the presentation.

Réohm follows the superhero mystery with an increasingly impossible card routine. Huckabee freely selects a playing card, which is torn into pieces while he keeps one corner as evidence. An egg, lemon and grapefruit then become part of a series of startling vanishes and appearances. The finale reveals the selected card in an unbelievable location, with Huckabee’s corner providing the perfect match.

The performance demonstrates Réohm’s ability to combine technically demanding magic with a simple, easy-to-follow story. His relaxed humor keeps the segment entertaining while each phase increases the apparent impossibility of the final revelation.
