Lance Burton Brings Master Magician & Friends to Appleton Tonight

Lance Burton brings Master Magician & Friends to Appleton, Wisconsin, tonight, October 30, 2026, with a performance scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

The engagement places Burton’s theatrical magic in a city closely associated with Harry Houdini, on the evening before the centennial of Houdini’s death. Appleton’s commemorative program includes the show among its featured events.

A Show Built Around Variety

The official event description promises a combination of illusions, sleight of hand, audience participation, and guest performers. It presents the production as suitable for the whole family. Specific guest names are not listed on the featured-event page.

That variety gives audiences an opportunity to experience different scales of magic within one evening. An intimate effect can direct attention toward a small detail, while a stage illusion changes the visual possibilities of the entire theater.

For people whose experience of magic comes primarily from short online clips, a full show also offers something different: time for anticipation, changes of pace, and a relationship with the performers.

A Personal Connection Through Our Podcast

Natalie and I recently welcomed Lance to Wes Iseli’s MagicLife Podcast. Our conversation covered his television specials, Las Vegas career, mentoring younger magicians, and the different demands of performing for cameras and live audiences.

That distinction makes this engagement particularly interesting. A televised performance can be preserved and replayed, but a theater show happens with a particular audience on a particular night.

Our interview offers background for readers interested in the professional decisions behind that experience.

Magic in Houdini’s Hometown

Appleton’s yearlong commemorations explore Houdini through performances, historical activities, and community events. Burton’s appearance adds a contemporary theatrical show to that wider celebration.

It is a fitting connection: remembering magic history while giving audiences a chance to experience live magic themselves.

Performance: Friday, October 30, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.
