Magician TJ Salta, winner of Netflix’s 2026 Star Search, will bring his live production UNITY to Dream Live at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, for two holiday-season performances.
The shows are scheduled for Saturday, December 26, 2026, and Saturday, January 2, 2027, both at 5 p.m. Ticketmaster lists both engagements, giving New Jersey and New York-area audiences an opportunity to see Salta following his television competition victory.
From Star Search Champion to Live Theater
Salta reached a wider audience through Netflix’s revival of Star Search, winning the competition’s $500,000 grand prize. Netflix confirmed his victory in its official coverage of the finale.
UNITY offers viewers who discovered him through the competition a chance to experience his work in a theater. That transition gives a performer room to develop ideas across a complete production, allowing individual effects to contribute to a larger evening of entertainment.
For audiences, it also changes the experience: the surprises unfold in a shared space, with the performer and spectators responding to one another in real time.
A Cinematic Approach to Illusion
According to the October 21 announcement, UNITY combines large-scale illusion, original music, psychological storytelling, humor, and audience participation.
The release describes Salta’s approach as “cinematic illusion,” emphasizing atmosphere, suspense, and human connection. Those elements form the announced creative direction of the show; audiences will discover how they come together when the production reaches the stage.
It is an interesting premise for magic enthusiasts. Music can establish a mood before an effect begins, while staging and storytelling can give an impossible moment a purpose beyond the surprise itself.
A full theatrical production provides opportunities to develop those connections from one sequence to the next.
Experience Beyond the Competition
The announcement also highlights Salta’s previous work in Cirque du Soleil’s Mad Apple in Las Vegas, describing him as the youngest professional magician to headline on the Strip. It lists appearances connected with Super Bowl LVI, the NFL Draft, and the NHL Stanley Cup among his credits. These career claims come from the production’s promotional release.
